Possibility to adjust the current password file to another password file (in the Tools menu)
new program setting: If you expanded or collapsed a node up to now, this has been noticed as a change to the file, so that you were asked to save the file on exit etc. - now you can turn off this by option.
When you enter the wrong password on opening a file, you are asked to enter the correct one until it is entered or you until cancel the input. If you cancel it, the previously opened password tree is not deleted any longer. If the file is damaged, a corresponding error message is displayed.
PWGen settings are saved dependently from the loggin in user (Windows NT, 2000 and XP).
new program settings: Number of last opened files in the file menu, Run PWGen together with Windows, Close minimized to system tray. So you can have PWGen run about the complete Windows runtime. On restoring the window, the password is asked every time again.
in the internet settings, you can perform an immediate update check
The validities, that are automatically checked on opening a file, are now also checked when the date changes (so at midnight).
In Windows XP, the XP style is now used in the installation and in the program.

The shareware version and the full version are now the same EXE file, for the full versions there is an additional key file that makes the software to a personalized full version.

On exit, the size of the PWGen window is saved and recovered on restart.
Insurity question on deleting entries and on reading directory passwords
Option "only unique characters" on generating new passwords added. There only passwords will be generated, that contain none of the characters 0, 1, 5, 6, G, I, O, S and l. These characters are not or hard to difference in some fonts.

The main window is now changable in size. Because only 2.3 % of all users have a screen resolution of less than 800 x 600, this was long overdue.

Validities are analyzed (passwords are valid until the given date INCLUDING):
- When an email address ist given, depending on the settings a new password is created or the password entry is deleted. In both cases, an email to the given address is sent.
- When no email address is given, the password entry is deleted.
To analyze the validities, use the menu item Tools/Check validities.

Now text entries are possible, that are entries, that are saved independent from any internet sites. The icon can be set with a click on the right mouse button, the last set icon is used for new text entries.
for every user, login name, remarks, validity and email address are saved (validity is not supported up to now)
the FTP passwords are not shown encrypted any longer (because the program shall be used to look up these)
Arrow buttons implemented. Restrictions:
- Directories are always below sites, users are always below directories.
- The level depth up to text entries and site ist limited to 10 (so for users to 12).
- Entries can only be moved right when above there is already an entry with the needed level depth.
The number of text entries is unlimited in all version, and that shall remain that way. The sites can be distributed arbitrary to the text entries or can be root entries like in the previous version.
